Specify the contact surface and belt size
The covering and tooth profile need to be specified separately. Send the required rubber thickness, hardness if specified, and smooth or patterned surface requirement. For a replacement, photographs of both the contact side and tooth side help identify the construction.
Also include the belt width, finished length or tooth count, joint requirement, operating speed, load, temperature and cleaning conditions. Where the belt uses guides or additional processing, show their positions and dimensions on the drawing.

Use the profile table to discuss the base belt with your pulley drawing. These values describe the profile range; they do not specify the finished thickness of the green-covered belt. Include the rubber covering in your finished-belt drawing.
